XIN was then invited to screen at Brooklyn Academy of Music. 1:1 is the worlds’s ratio of men to women, therefore, 1:1 Productions believes there should be equal representation in all aspects of production.Their first project was XIN, a short film written by and starring Huang, had a successful festival run premiering at Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival, was an Official Selection of BlackStar Film Festival (Nominated for Best Narrative Short), TIDE Film Festival (Won Best Performance), Cleveland International Film Festival, Hollyshorts, Seattle Asian American Film Festival and The Snake Alley Film Festival. 1:1 Productions’s mission is to champion women of color in front and behind the camera. In 2016, Huang co-founded 1:1 Productions, LLC. Raised in Chinatown and the Lower East Side of New York City, she studied theatre at LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts and NYU's Tisch School of Arts where she graduated with a B.F.A. She is first generation Taiwanese-American and is a fluent Mandarin speaker. Tina Huang was born in Dallas and raised in New York.
